Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark (2010 Broadway musical)

I'm going to go off the board and for a brief instant talk about something that has almost nothing to do with movies except in a very loosely connected way.

Those of you who know me in the real world know that not only do I love movies, but I'm also a fan of theater and of comic books. So when the opportunity to see the new Broadway show Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark came up last Thursday, I took it.

The lovely Eden, one of the contributors here at Unseen Films who runs the Comicsgirl blog asked me to write up my thoughts on the show and she's posted them here. For those who are looking to know what I thought before clicking the link you can probably guess by the title — The Destruction of Spider-Man — that I didn't care for it much. (It's visually spectacular, but ultimately a betrayal of a character that has has survived 50 years in the comics, on TV and in the movies). Follow the link to see my thoughts. Actually, you should be reading Eden's blog: it's a really good look at comics that matter!
